The award-winning chef Wilco Berends at Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort

On August 25th and 26th, Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort will welcome the award-winning chef, Wilco Berends.

With his debut as Head Chef in 1999 at Amsterdam's new Restaurant & Grand Cafe De Veranda, Wilco Berends swiftly rose through the ranks. He later took the helm as Head Chef at restaurant hotel De Nederlanden (*) in Vreeland in April 2007, subsequently becoming co-owner when the restaurant was acquired by a hotel group within 1.5 years.

Hailing from the North of Holland, Berends showcases his commitment to the region by incorporating locally sourced ingredients and skilfully marries traditional Dutch recipes like 'Hete Bliksem' with a French culinary foundation and global influences. Berends' culinary philosophy emphasizes the use of organic, honest ingredients that retain their pure, intense, and delightful flavors when presented.
